Ukrainians in the Carolinas

Dr. King believed that injustice anywhere was a threat to justice everywhere.

Today we gathered in Raleigh to honor his legacy and dream of our own. Thank you to our Ukrainian community and friends of Ukraine in the Triangle for standing with us in Raleigh today in support of Ukraine!

Every day, russian drones and rockets controlled by pure evil without any regard for human life are destroying Ukrainian cities and villages. Ukraine, Europe’s largest democracy that has been under attack for almost ten years, continues to bravely fight to defend its people, liberate its land, and protect the rest of the world from the evil that russia has become. It is time that we help Ukraine win this battle!

Enough words from our leaders! Please help us URGE them to provide military equipment to Ukraine that would stop russian terrorism and rain in Ukrainian victory! While our old arms supplies are transferred to Ukraine, most of the supplemental funds are spent in the US, paying salaries of American workers making new ammunition, arms, and technology for the American military. It’s a win-win for all to preserve and protect the freedom that Ukraine and the US hold so dear!

We have a dream that we don’t have to fundraise for tourniquets, heat blankets, hand warmers, pickup trucks, or drones anymore. We dream of tens of thousands of abducted Ukrainian children and POWs returning to Ukraine! We have a dream that Ukrainian agricultural land is demined and continues feeding Ukraine and those around the world dependent on Ukrainian harvests. We have a dream that Ukrainian homes, hospitals, libraries, schools, and stadiums are rebuilt, and that our beautiful millennia-old Ukrainian culture, language, and history are protected in Ukraine and promoted around the world! We have a dream that Ukrainian territorial integrity and sovereignty are restored, and millions of Ukrainian refugees return home! We have a dream of welcoming our friends and all people of goodwill to the Ukrainian Black Sea shores!

Thank you to our friends in the US for helping us support Ukraine and thank you to the brave Ukrainian men and women in uniform for making our dream of victory a reality!

FAQs

You've got questions and we have the answers

Who are Ukrainians in the Carolinas?

We are a network of volunteers throughout the Carolinas dedicated to assisting the people of Ukraine and promoting Ukrainian culture in the Carolinas. Our network has been operational in the Triangle for the last 8 years, ever since Russia invaded Ukraine. We have been collecting and shipping medical supplies to Ukraine, helping refugees, wounded warriors, families of perished Ukrainian heroes and orphans. We have hosted numerous cultural events and advocated for assistance to Ukraine. Since February 24, 2022, when Russia started its new phase of war in Ukraine, we have become an even stronger and larger group and welcome your support. We have media coverage, politicians’ attention, but most importantly - everybody’s willingness to help Ukraine’s brave military and citizens. We already shipped several containers of medical supplies, so generously donated to us by local supporters of Ukraine and of freedom. We also provided localized support to various cities throughout Ukraine where there was a great need for food and medical supplies.

What is your status? Are you an officially recognized charitable organization?

We are a NC charitable non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. EIN: 88-2029754

Where can I send my monetary donation?

You can write a check to Ukrainians in the Carolinas or PayPal or Zelle your donation to donations.ukrainians.carolinas@gmail.com

Can I donate clothing or other goods?

At the moment, the border is overwhelmed with various humanitarian supplies from European nations, so we are focusing our efforts on securing and shipping medical supplies only.

What else can I do to help in supporting Ukraine against the Russian invasion?

Spread the word! Contact your elected representatives and ask them to provide air defense systems to Ukraine, expedite legislation to allow Ukrainian refugees into US, and secure humanitarian corridors into sieged Ukrainian cities.
